Circle School of the Arts is launching a NEW series of community master classes for the 2014-15 school year. The master classes will be taught be professionals in the field and are open to all incoming 7th-12th graders in Central Florida. There is no requirement for students attending our master classes to be enrolled in Circle Theatre classes or Circle Christian School. These classes are purposefully designed to allow open access to young, Christian actors seeking excellence in their training regardless of their school affliation or ability level.
We are thrilled to have Dave and Morgan Russell return to Circle Theatre as instructors in our Improv Master Class. From two founding members of the SAK Comedy Lab comes an intensive workshop in improv creativity. A weekend immersion into the foundations of improvisation that launched the successful SAK Comedy Lab and its improv training institute, SAK University. Participants will learn everything from the basics of “Yes, and” and “No Blocking,” to quick and creative scene building, and most especially, trust and support for your fellow improvisers. Special emphasis will be placed on creating and playing together, offering choices that make for easy, successful and fun scene building, and making your partner look good (which in turn will make you look good). Everyone will enjoy a supportive, encouraging and spirit filled experience in a safe and creative environment.
