APRIL 14, 2012
Tall tales, folktales, talking tales, noodles, whoppers, windies, stretchers — everyone has a different name for these stories. Whatever you call them, America's legends come to life in this lively, delightful award-winning play that will appeal to all ages. When P.T. Barnum arrives in town with his traveling troupe, the mayor isn't so sure Barnum's on the level. So the master showman agrees to give a sample of his wares. What follows is knee slappin', foot stompin', rip roarin' fun, as some of the best loved characters in American folklore come to life to show us their stories. As P. T. Barnum might say, prepare to be amused, amazed, astounded, edified and infinitely entertained.

Singin' in the Rain by Bettey Comden & Adolph Green songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed directed by Tracy McCoy
MAY 3-6, 2012
You remember the plot. You love the characters. You know "the song." Based on one of the most celebrated and beloved movies of all time, the highly acclaimed stage adaptation of Singin’ In The Rain jubilantly finds its way into our season. Reveling in parody, the musical turns the precarious birth of the “talkies” (and the demise of nearly all silent picture stars during the late 20s) into an unforgettably hilarious, light-hearted romantic comedy. Singin’ In The Rain has been described as “one of the best musicals of all time” featuring some of the best loved comedy routines, dance numbers, and songs ever written, including “Good Morning,” “Make ‘em Laugh,” “Moses Supposes,” “You Were Meant For Me” and, of course, “Singin’ in the Rain.”
Presented by special arrangement with Musical Theatre International, New York, New York.
